Directories Arkansas Lacks Statewide
Some directories do not exist as single statewide tools. There is no one statewide municipal permit directory, no one complete free statewide deed database, no one complete statewide assessor portal, and no one statewide county-jail roster. City permits are local and often address-keyed. County jail rosters are sheriff-by-sheriff. Deeds and property records depend on county and vendor coverage.
This gap is not a dead end. Identify the city, county, school district, court, or agency first. Then use that office's directory, public records portal, phone line, library, or FOIA process. For old addresses, check whether the address was inside city limits, in an unincorporated area, or affected by E911 or boundary changes before choosing the office.
